STATE COLLEGE, PA -- On Feb. 14, Scott Beigel, Chris Hixon and Aaron Feis were among the 17 killed during a mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida.
All three were employees of the school district and died trying to protect students. Feis was killed when he threw himself in front of students to protect them from gunfire, according to CNN.
While several bills have been introduced to increase security at schools, one state lawmaker has introduced a measure that would compensate employees’ families for these kinds of heroics. READ MORE
